The radiating horizontal lines become less conspicuous further from the centre of the structure, so their full width isn't well-defined. But the part that's clear in the photo is about 1.5m across.

Hello. I found these on a Croatian island - they don't strike me as one of their regular Jurassic finds, as it appears to be more inside a fault of petrified red soil amidst the abundant limestone. They look kinda "new". Can anyone tell me what they are? I found them on two locations. Not a geologist, so no idea. Whale and other large marine life bones? Polished by the sea? After some seizmic event?

Could this be a snail? I can't say much more about this, except that I photographed it on the rocks on the coastal belt by the sea, Dubrovnik, Croatia, I think our rocks are of Cretaceous age.. So, thanks in advance !

Hello everyone, I am your member since yesterday and this is my second post. I wonder if you can help me with identification? I think these are the shells of some molluscs.. I live in Dubrovnik, Croatia and our rocks are extremely rich in these fossils, but I don't know which ones they are? Our rocks here are mostly white limestones of Cretaceous age, and as far as I've seen online, the rudists, which are abundant here, don't have a two-part shell, like this creature? It seems so to me. Thanks everyone in advance ! And what do you think, should I try to dissolve them in vinegar? There will be no harm since there are a lot of them

Hello, I found this on a beach along Croatian coast and was unlike any of the surrounding rocks/geology. It's symmetrical and submarine-shaped. I'm wondering if it's a fossil v. a natural formation. Any information is greatly appreciated!

Hi, I am new to this forum, so please excuse my total ignorance on the topic of fossils. I have always loved them, but don’t know much about them. I am currently staying in Dubrovnik, Croatia, and found some weird looking stones with dotted patterns. I am aware that this could just be a bunch of random dots, but it looks like a creature of some sort, in my opinion. One of them looks like it has legs as well. Does anyone know what this could be? Thanks!

Hello guys. I have found this collection of specimens on the matrix on the eocene era site near city of Vrgorac, Republic of Croatia. In my humble opinion, it is quite interesting, considering the number of different species included. In other words, there is really a lot going on So far, I have only identified some kind of solitary coral (picture 2 and 3) and several species of nummulites (pictures 4,5 and 6). I would greatly appreciate any help with identification of other specimens. Thank you in advance.

Hello guys, As a begginer in the world of fossil hunting, I would appreciate your help with identification of several coral specimens I have found in the eocene era fossil site near the town of Vrgorac, Republic of Croatia. My guess, at least for the first specimen (first 4 photos), is that it represent some kind of Pattalophyllia, whilst for the others I honestly have no idea. Also, the last specimen (last 3 photos), looks like some kind of horn coral, which is weird, considering the fact that they went extinct during Permian and especially because it was found in close proximity of other specimens ( maybe 20-30 meters) and not even a meter form the (possible) Pattalophyllia. Thank you in advance.

Hello guys. Recently I have posted couple of pictures of possible stromatolites specimen I have found. I visited the same location today and I have found a couple of more specimens which look like some kind of stromatolites. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello Sorry I'm new I just registered to find some answers Yesterday while searching for some fossilized clams or marine stuff I came across this little beauty. It's about 7 cm wide and some 5 cm high. I found it at the Dalmatian Coast in Croatia. Anybody knows what it could be? And, what do I do with it now? Do I carry it to a museum? Kind regards

Found this at seashore in Vir, Croatia (Northern Dalmatia), the stone is about 10cm on the longest side. Thought it'd be some fossils (because I got no clue about fossils) but now it looks more like a regular stone embedded with some softer pebbles that crumbled away with time (probably because of sea currents). Could anybody confirm that?

Found at the beach, underwater. Tried as best I could to wash the dirt off but pieces of crystal keep falling off (you can see three small peices on the side), they seem fragile. The rock is about the size of my hand.
