PROOF of instant petrification REPTILE (iguana) HEAD FOUND petrified AND SO WELL PRESERVED THAT THE ENTIRE EYE INCLUDING THE CURVATURE OF THE LENS AND THE SURROUNDING PARTS OF THE EYE are still perfectly intact. I’ve seen a lot of posts where people are asking other people whether their find is something or what it is. I am not asking anyone if this used to be the head of reptile. It has the eyes, the teeth, the horns, the skin and a completely intact eyeball lens with the corresponding eye symmetrically orientated on the other side. As well as the other parts surrounding the eye. I don’t know what it means, I’ve never seen it before, I can’t find anything on the Internet, but there is no a question at all as to whether this is a petrified animal head. I’m posting this because I would like to know what people’s opinions are concerning why we haven’t seen more of this. Is it being repressed or is it just that rare? PLEASE do not respond with. “It’s just a coincidence” or you will no longer be taken seriously in this discussion.

Hello I am new to the is hobby and need some help identifying this natural Formation. After a thorough inspection I can't help but wondering if this is some kind of crystalized skull/Head. Looking at the nose area I can see were the small holes go into the sinus area. Note the back looks to be severed and you can see the brain area, not to mention the deep set eye sockets you can see on one side the ear formation. I know this sounds bizarre but seeing is believing can anyone see what I'm seeing and please help with any thoughts. Thank you.

Got to work on these guys because some of these creatures were my inspiration of what they would have looked like in color and others are at an art show. Wonder what animals will you like to see when its unleashed before your very eyes?

This appears to me to be the severed head of a reptile. It is slightly deformed post mortem. Scales or osteoderms are faintly visible in a few places. There is a branched structure on the underside that looks very much like a blood vessel. There are circular shapes at the end where the head was severed from the body, suggesting a spine and torn ends of major vessels. It was found in Deuel County, South Dakota, USA. The geology of the area is basically glacial deposits. No strata or matrix evidence is possible. It measures 60 mm x 30 mm x 35 mm and weighs 80 g. Is this a reptile head, or am I suffering from pareidolia?

Complete mosasaur skull - real?
chris131313 posted a topic in Is It Real? How to Recognize Fossil Fabrications
Hi everyone, I’m new to this but am curious as to whether these are legit or not. I’d imagine they’d be way more expensive but I wasn’t sure if this website is legit or not, and I really do not want to get scammed if I eventually buy something like this. Does this forum have a list of credible websites/vendors? -
A Morocco seller sent me a head of Mosasaurus. But I have no idea of it. May I have some opinion from the experts of forum, please? Thank you.

My daughter found this in a dry creek bed near our house. I was using muriatic acid to clean it up and noticed it was fizzing and pulled it out and saw the formation. There’s a black and red tar on the back that didn’t come off in the acid and it’s 3.5” x 3.25”. We have found a lot of arrowheads, native American artifacts and what we believe are fossils (teeth, bones, coral) but this one stood out the most. Does anyone know if this could possibly be a fossil? And if so, what kind?

I am no expert in fossil hunting, its just a hobby but while I was in Big Brook, New Jersey (a stream where many people go to find shark teeth and such), I was downstream and after sifting through my pan I came across this fossil. At the time I didnt even know it was a fossil i just thought it was a cool looking rock (im 17 btw). Now looking back at it I feel like it is a fish head, but I have no idea honestly. Could somebody tell me if this is a random rock or a fish head? I can attach several images of it down here. Thanks!

I found this petrified snake/reptile head in North Carolina. I have this one and many others from my back yard. Including a petrified giant, and fingers with fingernails, perfectly preserved.. I know it's a petrified reptile from the petrification of 40 years of saltwater from the great flood. It's species is not in the internet anywhere that I can find, other than other petrified snakes, it's a one of a kind. I'm thinking it's extinct. It's very prominent for snake features and certainly a rock now. What does anyone here think? And I have many more like it. There are these and many others... You can see the neck bone, the black jugular vein, then the arterial iron oxide- Rich returning blood and that's what petrifies to gold. And they are also other species not alive today to our earthly knowledge.... Thoughts?

discovered this in SW MO in a heavily timbered area buried roughly 10” deep. It measures 9 1/2” in length. If someone has some thoughts of what it could be I would love to hear your ideas.

I live in Richmond, Virginia and recently discovered a bounty of agates in my back yard. Here are pictures of one I found yesterday that is different from all the others. There is still some dirt/mud from the garden in the crevices. I stopped cleaning it after seeing bits of druzy quartz along a seam in the agate and wondered if it could possibly be a fossilized head of some sort? I looks like it spent some time tumbling in a creek or something of that nature (most of the other agates are rounded Patuxent stone types). Also, I apologize for not including a metric ruler, but I've included a picture with a US quarter for scale. Thanks for your help!

Hyachi!! What have I found?? I thought a rock that somewhat resembled the head and mouth of a shark. Thought that was kinda meat. So I washed it off a bit. And studied the rock awhile longer.

Hello all, i am seeking help in identifying what this is, I apologize for not having a tape for size to scale but it’s a little bigger than a bowling ball, it was found in woods at Little Rock, Arkansas near a running creek , seems to be mainly sandstone composition and the head shaped portion fits perfectly in the base, the bottom of the head piece looks like brains, thanks for any input.
