Hi, I found this in the London Clay at Beltinge Herne Bay, can anyone please help with ID of what it possibly might be? its around 8cm long and 2-3mm thick. it was dark when I found it and is now getting lighter in colour as it dries. Seems to have a few layers and the middle layer is a little transparent maybe? Thanks for any help in IDing, Kylie

Hi guys, would anyone know the difference between isurolmna affinis and inflata, i cant seem to find an age gap and physically their features, to me at least, seem very similiar anyway, the reason i am asking as i have read conflicting resources on teeth from unit J of upnor fm (beltinge fish bed) at herne bay, UK that differ between one and the other and im not sure which to go with, thanks for your help

Hi everyone, so I went to Beltinge, Herne Bay for the first time yesterday. Unfortunately the conditions weren't great so not many teeth and only one complete. I did however find a couple of nice items I'm hoping some intelligent people can help me with! The area is late Palaeocene and early Eocene. 1. Bony fish vertebra. I know these can be hard to ID, but it makes me sad to have such a nice one only to label it 'bony fish'! 2. Bone fragment (Possibly turtle? Is it possible to tell what bone it is?) 3. Chimaeroid fish mouth part? 4. I think this one could just be a conveniently shaped concretion, but another part of me hopes fish tooth? Thanks for your help! 1. 2. 3. 4.
