I found these at Penn Dixie the other month and have slowly been identifying them. They are from the Middle Devonian Moscow Formation. I would love a second opinion from the experts as the Devonian isn't a period I'm super familiar with. 1. Streptelasma ungula 2. Heterophrentis simplex 3. Stereolasma rectum 4. Not sure 5. Was gifted a large section of sedimentary rock containing Middle-Devonian (Mahantango Formation) fossils. One Rugose Horn Coral was already exposed a good bit. I decided it would be a good candidate for my first attempt at fossil prep beyond a basic cleaning with a brush, soap and water. I picked up a Dremel 290 and 2ct fine-point aftermarket bits from Amazon. I'll eventually purchase the bits provided by Zoic Paleotech, however these worked well for the job. I started slow, working away from the fossil to chip away the rock. I've exposed a good deal, and now am working on wearing down the area on the underside to slowly expose more of the fossil. Hey everyone, I've been trying to plan a little trip for me and my family to go on a little fossil hunt. I live in Bartlesville Oklahoma and I have several nice places I can go to find fossils all over. Mainly mississippian and Pennsylvanian. I'm looking for areas within an hour or so drive from where I live. I'm aware of the pliestocene finds in the arkansas river in tulsa area. I'd love for someone to send me maps or geologic surveys showing what areas in the topography, and other recomendations. Places I've been to worth noting: Kaw Lake spillway, Ponca City (good shells everywhere) Bartlesville Mound (excellent source of Chrinoids and some bits of coral) Hudson lake (Bartlesville water source, 1- chrinoid calyx found, tons of bivalves and other shells) Turkey Creek, Bartlesville (uncountable amounts of horn coral)

I’ve got quite a handful of Devonian fossils that I’ve found this past week on the shore of Seneca lake in Upstate NY. This post is more of a confirmation of my original thoughts and a hope for a more definitive and exact identification of some of these finds. Thanks for any help in advance! 1– horn coral
