  1. I bought this Keichousaurs recently from the auction site. The pictures were a bit blurry, but I couldn't bring myself to ask for better pictures because of anxieties, so I ordered it so I could take pictures myself. It arrived yesterday and to me it looks real and just very mutilated from the preparation. However, I don't trust my own assessment on such matters due to being very new to collecting. If it is fake I have until the 4th of October to return it. This is why I'm asking. So is this real? (I hope the pictures are good enough, I had to borrow my wife's camera and I spent about an hour trying to figure out how to use it. If I need better ones I can see what I can do with mine, I just don't have a macro lens)
  2. Jumly

    Is this a real tooth?

    My husband went to an estate sale and came home with this "dinosaur tooth." The estate sale company didn't know anything about it, or where it came from. I'm not even sure it's real. Thoughts? Neither of us know much about this stuff, so thank you in advance for any insight!
  3. I recently came across a cool-looking piece with three different shells close together in a matrix, but despite my attempt to Google some pointers while I was pondering if I wanted it or not, I'm simply not trained up enough to determine if fossils are real. There's some parts that some articles were talking about that make me think it could be real, and others that make me think not so much... I have a feeling the matrix maybe isn't the original, but I'm hoping perhaps the shells themselves are still fossilized? But I'm really not sure -- anyways, the pictures I took are below. I hope they give you enough information/context to help me out, and that there aren't a whole bunch of superfluous details that I chose to focus on! Sorry for how big and in the way of the post they are, I'm still trying to figure out how to make posts look nicer ^^;
  4. Hi I bought this a few years ago when i was much less experienced. I always knew that this was most likely fake, but I just wanted to make sure. Thanks!
