I have some fossilsfrom kinnekulle. That when wet can be little muddy. I try to clean it with a toothbrush but it wont clean and it looks like this after. Any ideas? theres a picture of a orthoceras being wet and dry. So you can see how its not good looking when dry.

Found this pretty big pygdium of a trilo in kinnekulle. What species is it? Its around 6-7 cm and if u can see it as a long crack running down the middle. ( found it like that ) should i use some cyanoacrylate to fix the cracks and them remove the leftovers with some acetone? How careful do i then need to be?

The photo below shows a section of a small piece of Cambrian material from Kinnekulle, Sweden which I recently acquired. The material is, I believe, anthroconite or orsten (limestone) found in lenses in Alum Shale. The disarticulated trilobite shields that populate the surface are from the tiny Agnostus pisiformis. My question is this: What is the very thin white layer that covers parts of the trilobites - both the pieces where the dorsal/convex side of the shell is exposed and where the ventral/concave side of the shell is exposed? Any ideas would be much appreciated.
