So i sent 2 of my finds off for prep and have recieved them back now. looks like the delivery man has just thrown them over my 6 Foot gates despite there being FRAGILE stickers all over the box. I’m hoping they have jumped over the gates and placed it down, but who knows. theres no damage to the pieces but it could have been very disappointing!
I know this isn't directly fossil related, but has anyone else have this happen with the USPS. Several times I have gotten an item being shipped through USPS. Gotten tracking notice that it had arrived at the P.O. and was out for delivery only to not get the item delivered for at least a day or two afterward. Are they not actually getting it in the delivery truck and posting it out on delivery or do postal workers regularly misplace packages in their vehicles?! It gets rather frustrating when expecting a package in the mailbox and it only having letter mail in there. Am I the only one that experiences this phenomenon?
I wish to send my friend in the mail some specimens out of the acid bath of some super tiny gastropods that are like fly specks - so tiny that you need a microscope to see them. How should I do this so he can find them when they arrive? Im hoping for something from the hardware store, or locally.
I know I'm not the only one that doesn't live near good fossil deposits, which means that i'm not the only one that has to buy or trade fossils from time to time to build the collection. I thought it would be fun to have an ongoing thread to share our latest great score that we didn't personally find in nature, a thread to share your latest fossil purchase or trade. Let's see what you found at the local fossil show, online or anywhere else other than in the ground.
