Well, I have never really been a big fan of picture frame-style display that you sometimes see mammoth hair (and sometimes with tusk or ivory fragment) being placed inside. So when I got myself some mammoth hair (that came in an even uglier-looking plastic bag...) along with some tusk pieces I selected, I decided to have an acrylic display maker made me a custom display case instead: It's modified from one of those magnetic collectable card case design, though I decided to lay some cotton wool sheets in the bottom of the display cut-out rectangular holes to help make the specimens more showy due to the color contrast with the white wool as well as to help secure them more tightly when the lid is closed. The end result saves a lot more space than a normal picture-frame display and blends in pretty well with the rest of my specimens in similar acrylic cases and displays.
