I found these two rocks in BLM land around the Ding and Dang slot canyons, which are close to Goblin Valley state park in Utah. I believe that they are both some sort of fossilized bacterial colony, but I'm not sure. The two possible fossils are made of different types of sandstone, as seen in the deferent shade of color. The larger one: The smaller one: Additionally, the smaller one has a barely visible mineral layer (gypsum?) running through it, seen below. Could anyone please help me identify these two possible fossils?

I picked up a stone which had a nice crinoid segment imprint on it. Under closer investigation, I found other microorganisms as well. Any idea what they could be? Crinoid is 2mm and the microorganisms are 1mm at the largest. Found in Doña Ana county, New Mexico.

Fossilized stromatolites provide records of ancient life on Earth.Stromatolites are layered bio-chemical accretionary structures formed in shallow water by the trapping, binding and cementation of sedimentary grains by biofilms (microbial mats) of microorganisms, especially cyanobacteria.found on brothers property in Wurtsboro NY.also found florescent calcite formations. This is what i believe they are.
