Hi everyone, my family has a new found interest in fossils. Today was our first adventure toSuzie Gilmore Beach Newcastle. We have found some interesting fossils. Would love any help with scientific names, rock formation, fossil type, dates etc to fuel my kids knowledge. If I've taken a photo of nothing substantial please forgive and educate us! Thanks

New to fossils since Covid. My wife and I are getting great exercise and knowledge. I find this forum so informative and helpful. Glad to be here... happy hunting everyone. We found this beautiful little guy today. Got home, cleaned it up....look at this amazing color. Is this from the iron in thr ground? It is a rose gold color. I have 2 others that are partially this color.. just amazing!!!!- 10 replies

Hello, I'm Erys, a new member on the forum. (Just found it on Monday, in fact.) I've loved fossils, and prehistoric animals, for years, but I don't have much knowledge beyond a surface understanding. Most of the specifics I'm familiar with centre around woolly mammoth teeth, tusks, and bone, but I'm looking forward to expanding my knowledge.

Hello, everyone. I came across this forum this morning and have lost many hours today reading many threads! I'm in NE Florida and started hunting for sharks teeth a few months back with my son and daughter. I must say I am now addicted. I'm looking forward to learning from everyone and growing in this new addictive hobby! Have a great day! Keely
