Found this piece today on North Myrtle Beach. It has a neat pattern on it. It is a roughly 1/4 inch thick. It could possibly be a turtle shell fragment? That is my closest guess. Found on North Myrtle Beach.

I found this piece on North Myrtle Beach today. I believe it is a rib fragment of some sort. U have no idea what it could have come off of. I was guessing a dolphin or possibly a small whale. The shark tooth hunting today has been slow but have found a few fossils. Any help on this one would be greatly appreciated.

I know these are pitiful, pitiful pictures. Sorry! I am trying to identify and label my fossil collection. I was wondering if these were bonito fossils? I have about 20 of them, all found at North Myrtle Beach, SC. They are very different from Sea Robin skulls and other little delicate fish skulls that I have found. They each have two deep, vertical cavities and are dense. Thanks for any help identifying them!

Hi I would like to get an id on this beautiful tooth that I just found in NMB,SC. One side of the root is significantly longer that the other side. The blade curves "in" near the tip. In my limited experience, it looks like a short finned mako lower tooth. It is 2 1/16 in slant height. The center of the root protudes out. What distinquishing factors will lead to an identification for this tooth? Appreciate your thoughts. Thanks

I found these ear plates near my home in North Myrtle Beach. They are each about a 1/2" long. What they are from? Dolphin or Porpoise? Please help! Thanks! Also how do you make fossils stay in place in these little display boxes?
