Chinese Dinosaur Partial Leg and Claws --Jiufotang Formation, Chaoyang
FF7_Yuffie posted a topic in Is It Real? How to Recognize Fossil Fabrications
Hello, what are thoughts on this. A partial leg and claws from Jiufotang Formation. Anyone spot any repairs or reso? Each limb section is approximately 30cm. Seller doesn't know species--a type of Oviraptor? thanks for the help. -
What do you think about the authenticity of the two claws? They are said to be Ornithomimus from Liaoning Province of China. One is hind limb and the other one is front limb?

This is from Hell Creek formation and 8 inches long. Seller named this 'Struthiomimus'. I compared it with some examples of ornithomimids from Hell Creek and I think this is a 3rd metatarsal of an ornithomimid.. If someone can verify? Thanks

Doesnt look it at to me, no groove which seems to be on others, but most online are hand claws. But could be a very worn one? Or something else.

I went out for a fossil hunting trip to southeastern red deer river valley in southern Alberta and I found material from tyrannosaur, raptor, hadrosaur, ceratopsian, turtle, croc, and fish. I even found a snail shell fossilized out of ironstone. I am struggling with the ID on two of my finds. This claw I think might be ornithomimus. But the tip is broken and also very stout. At first I thought it was just broken but I'm thinking it is unusually short. The other is a tooth that I have not seen before. After some research I'm guessing Pachycepholusaurus?
