Finally got a few hours to hunt around my local creek, I had found one mosasaur vert once before there so I decided to dig farther into the wall to see if there was more, to my surprise there was, the first one came out okay but the second one was really really crumbly. First one first

Micro fossils from the pecan gap right where it meets Austin chalk, shark teeth with the roots dissolved are common here, as are baculites, if you see something you know or want to know more about say.

Creek was a little flooded today made it harder to navigate, started the day with 2 dead drill battery's that I had charged the night before so I decided to move father up to look at some different exposures, started by picking up some matrix for micro's from the bottom of the pecan gap, more on that later, and then some Del Rio clay for the same, (if someone has suggestions for how to wash this faster that would be great) spent the next 2 hours picking up heteromorph mariellas.

Had a pretty fun day here in San Antonio, started off by meeting Dan, talked for a little while before he moved on to go scout some other areas, moved down a ways and found a mosasaur vertebrae (my first), and then a pachydiscus (also a first for me) had to leave for a while but came back and found more pachydiscus chunks and then a giant pachydiscus that I had almost stepped on probably 10 times or more.
