Imagine strolling down the street with your very own pet dinosaur. Who would dare mess with someone sporting a prehistoric buddy? With a T-Rex or a triceratops as your loyal companion, bullying would be a thing of the past. After all, who needs to worry about bullies when you've got a dino-sized bodyguard that can turn them into scaredy-cats with a single growl? Just make sure your neighbors don't complain about the occasional tree-trampling incident. While having a pet dinosaur might solve your bully problems, it might create a few traffic jams in the process!

Hello Friends! I'd like to share here that I work in a store that specializes in the raising, feeding, care and finding homes of parrots and reptiles! We hand-raise little baby birds from fledglings, and sell them to responsible owners, who we educate and inform on how to properly care for the bird they get. We have some birds and reptiles who live at the store, and every day is so fun with all of the animals! I'll attach some pictures below! Willow, our resident Timneh African Grey! While she bites and hates most people, me and her are the best of friends. We hang out whenever business is slow and during every lunch! One of the many whitefaced cockatiels that we've raised! Sweetpea the Burmese Python! She's around 11 feet, but as her name states, she's a sweetheart. A basket full of baby Quakers parrots! This little Jenday conure fell asleep like this in his food dish. The purest of all nap positions. Our resident greenwing macaw, Gus! Believe it or not, this girl is 27 years old! Macaws have a very long lifespan, and can live well past 80 years! Little Azra, a baby congo grey we are currently raising!! She's so precious <3 May post more pictures in this thread, let me know if any of you guys have birds or reptiles!!!

Hi everyone, although I don’t currently own fossils I’ve always been interested in paleontology and recently started studying more into it again. I joined here to see all the fossil collections and pick up on some knowledge. As for a little about me, I’m a huge fan of all branches of biology. I’m more knowledgeable in extant animals and my primary focus is herpetology. I also love toxinology. With those two combined, my favorite animals are snakes and arachnids and I own 2 snakes, 3 widows, 3 scorpions, and 28 tarantulas. Though I don’t have any fossils, I do collect remains of extant animals. I have a decent amount of skulls and other various bones as well as mummified animals. That’s pretty much all about me, very exited to be a part of this community

Yesterday afternoon, as I was filling in my dogs' latest attempt to discover the other side of the world in my backyard , I started wondering how funny it would be if they dug up a fossil . I did not manage to find a similar existing thread. Out of curiosity has anyone had a fossil hunting pet who, while also digging to the other side of the world (or swimming, fetching, etc..), discovered a fossil that you ended up keeping? If so, tell the story of your fossil hunting pet here!

Anyone else here keep ants for pets? I know Izak wants to. Here's my best colony at the moment. Camponotus humilior (with 12 workers, started with just a queen). And my Camponotus nigriceps, almost at first workers! (Nanitics). She's about 20mm long.

Hey all! The family and I are planning on venturing out of our Maryland comfort zone and are planning a trip to Big Brook in the coming weeks. I was just curious as to whether or not dogs were allowed in the park with you while fossil hunting. I am assuming it would be ok, but haven't been able to find any information. Thanks for your input!
