Hey y’all, it’s been awhile, hope y’all have been safe!! I found this in my driveway while looking at all the cool rocks that have been flooded to the surface in the past year. I’m 1/10 of mile to the water of Elk River at the Eastern most point of Lauderdale County North Alabama and Limestone Co. Our town boundaries are all water ways except north which ends at Giles Co, Tennessee. So it’s not hard to be close to the waterways, Elk River, and the banks. and that’s where all of the house on my road get there driveways lol (don’t tell TVA). My ruler is hiding but I have a 3x6 envelope and it’

My wife ordered a 2 x 1 x 1 Meter raised bed for herbs last week and it was just delivered today. The first thing I did before I start putting the thing together was to dig up a plot of that size at the edge of the garden where I'll be placing it for her. It's interesting what you can come up with when you're turning over a new area in an old garden. When we first moved in and I started rearranging things out there I dug up a nice rock crystal block as well as things like marbles, plastic toys and other household paraphernalia. This time along with a couple of marbles I dug up a nicely preserv

Hey everyone! I was wondering if you could please help me identify these items and whether they are worth keeping! I found these three today at Beaumaris. The first one (pictures 1 + 2) appears to be some odd, fortuitous weathering of sandstone? In the second (picture 2) it seems that there may be some possible gastropod remains in there? The third item - the baguette! (pictures 3 + 4) It caught my interest due to the ridges on the top and flat base. I assume it's likely an sandstone concretion? It feels like rock on the outside and isn't as heavy as ironstone.

So I've had a post before asking this but, does anyone know any fossils sites near Minneapolis, I know there is Lilydale, but it's currently closed, I don't care if it's a ditch next to a road, or if you need a permit I just want to know LEGAL fossil sites that I can go to, hunt, collect and leave! Thank you for the help!

Please help me figure out what this is! My Dad found it near his work about a year ago. It looks like it could be made out of road pavement or some kind of rock. It appears to have two slanted slits for eyes, two inward-curved ears, and what kind of looks like a spine on the back of it. I've attached photos, please help!
