Hello, i saw this sauropod tooth labeled as a Saltasaurus tooth from argentina for sale today. Sadly those are the only pictures i have of it. Can someone identify it ? Are sauropod teeth from argentina hard to get ?

This was found in northern Arkansas. I don't know much about it or fossils in general, but I'm very interested in learning. I'm just wondering if this is a rare specimen or any information at all. It seems to be in good condition to my untrained eye and I was excited when we found it.

Hello, I'm curious what the deal is with fossil pinecones. Are very rare or in high demand? Do they take a lot of time to prep? I would think they'd preserve easily and hence be quite common, at least compared to something like permineralized fleshy fruit, but they seem relatively scarce and quite popular. Thanks.

I work a lot with travertine that come from quarys in Mexico and a few other places. I happened across this and obviously would like to know how rare and how valuable if at all

(Almost) microscopic agates in petrified wood
ARandomFossil posted a topic in General Fossil Discussion
I thought I would share this unique piece of petrified wood I own. I don’t know if this is rare, but I couldn’t seem to find anything on this. To the naked eye, the rings of the wood are tiny white rocks. But under the microscope, you can clearly identify agates. Fraxinus Nigra is the name of the species. The microscopic pictures are too large for the post, but I think you can download them to view.- 9 replies

Went hiking again this Xmas day. My wife and I found these on top of the ground in lime stone formations in clay around the huge cliffs of limestone. What are they? The rings with holes look like others I found on line called tub worms. Thanks
