Looking through some amonites in a rock shop I felt compelled to purchase this one. Not a single one of my others have markings like this so it has been added to my collection. Are the markings from a type of vegetation?

Today I got into the city (Chicago) a little earlier than I wanted for a family party, so I drove a couple miles North to Dave’s Down to Earth Rock Shop in Evanston, to see if they had anything that I was interested in and also to see if he had a display of echinoids in the museum. I did not buy anything today and they did not have a display of echinoids in the museum. Here are a couple pictures of what they had for sale, without the price tags. This is just a sampling of things. After I post those pics, I will add pics of a couple fossils from the museum. You may have seen some of them from before, but I forget what fossils I take pics of. Now these next pieces were really cool and I have never seen them before, I should have asked the price.

Does anyone know of any rock shops in the Las Vegas area that would have fossils for sale? More of the Ma and Pa roadside stands rather than the commercial shops , real fossils still covered in dirt.
