Recently just got back from a trip on Tybee Island! During this trip I went out looking for shark teeth several times a day, and even did a tour with Sundial Charters! Overall in 6 days I found over 150 shark teeth and countless other fossils! I'll be posting them on here! Here's the coolest tooth I found actually on Tybee, I believe it's a Great Hammerhead.

I’m not even sure if looking at these or posting these would help. Most teeth from Shark tooth ridge are broken so I feel ID is hopeless. But if anyone knows anything , id be forever thankful! A. I’m really curious what these thick ones are. They don’t scream Squalicorax sp. B. Doesn’t look like a shark C. Scapanorhynchus sp. D. I really love the color on these. E. Also is a cool color pattern F. Too broken? G. This is what most of the teeth look like. It’s so sad. but I would keep going back if I could

Hello! I’m a new member but I have checked the forum many times to identify my fossils and shark teeth. Usually I’m up by Calvert cliffs Maryland but recently I found a nice tooth at Jupiter beach in Florida, if anyone has any ideas on what type it is that would be awesome! Im still new to fossil hunting and identifying!

I was just wanting to show off my biggest hemi in 2 years of amateur fossil hunting. Its a 1.7 inch hemi from a dredge system in georgia, its been cleaned up alot since the root was fully covered in matrix still slightly unstable however. Im pretty happy with the condition and colors I was wondering whats the biggest hemi ever found or biggest personal hemi anyone else has found.

I know its small but I found this tooth a while back and had forgotten about it so while looking through my trips smaller teeth I found 3 Carcharoides totuserratus which i didn’t know were rare until watching one of blackriverfossils videos. So I was wondering what kind of tooth this is and if anything rare? The last photo is the Carcharoides totuserratus I was talking about.

I would like to hear opinions what would be smartest thing to do. I have couple pieces from Morocco Ouled Abdoun basin that have freepiece shark teeth in them. Problem is that other shark tooth is perfectly under the piece, other one visible at wrong side at the edge. I was thinking could I remove bottom one by using rock carving tool and perhaps scrape other one bit more visible? Or should I leave them be? What are the risks because I have no experience with prepping?

Found this hastalis shark tooth in a florida creek was just wanting to share, but also wanting to ask whats the biggest lesser great white tooth people have found or personal found. Ive only been fossil hunting for two years but this is my personal best hastalis tooth its about 2.7 inches.

From the album: Middle eocene fossils from Qatar
This one is from the Midra shale formation of Qatar, and exhibits some really rare coloration not usually seen from this formation (Usually comes in shades of white). The slant length(longest side) is about 4 mm. (0.15 inches). Age: Middle Eocene- 2 comments
