Here is a fun project that originally got started with a dino named Gorgeous George. It would have been great until someone decided they didn't want to play and took their ball home! This is how it will be played. In a package will be a small dinosaur ( Sara the Ceratopian ) along with a few fossil related items. When you receive Sara, take a picture of her in your fossil collection, at a dig site or local landmark to record her journey. She will have her diary with her so please write a very brief message in it for posterity, as it will travel with her and other receivers can read your note. Kindly take one item and one only ( not Sara!) for yourself and replace it with something small fossil related from your collection to send onto the next member. It will be similar to geo-caching. Take an item/ leave an item. Once you send the parcel off to the next person, please post the picture of Sara at your leg of her journey. We would like to keep this going around the world, so if you ask to be a part of her travels please keep the game going. Lets see how much if the world she can visit. George didn't get too far! Hey everyone, Two successful trades in the books. I a still trying to increase my ammonite collection. Well, will be doing that for a long time. I have North Texas fossils for trade. Mosy verts, mosy toe bones, I have one plesiosaur toe bone, a few Texas ammonites, a lot of bone fragments if you could use them, echinoids, gastropods, bi-valves (couple large ones), few sharks teeth left and some other stuff. They are from different formations depending on what you want. George

So I was wondering if anybody would want to trade any theropod teeth. The stuff that I will trade for theropod teeth are just about all from the green river formation. I will trade a matrix-free stingray barb, a partial eohiodon, or a mostly prepped priscacara for any theropod teeth, including spinosaurus. I also have a couple 2 inch bone valley megalodon teeth that I would be willing to trade for theropod teeth. Pm me if you want to trade.

As someone who almost never goes on trips (not by choice) it's hard to make paleontology a major part of my life. In fact I joined TFF in an attempt to make paleontology for me more then just learning new things without interacting with people. But the fact I don't go on a lot of trips also means I do not have a lot of fossils so for a long time I was thinking about buying fossils. The problem is I don't know anything about fossil sales so I would love to get information about where can I buy fossils, what are good prices an that kind of stuff but honestly I just want to hear anything I should know or anything you want to tell me about fossil sales.

I'm curious if anyone would be interested in trading for this wonderful piece with multiple bivalves/brachiopods. I don't have any information except that it was a beach find from southern California. Several of them are damaged, one is almost entirely complete (one small chip) and exposed most of the way. 2 others I believe are intact but are partially buried in the matrix. There are also a few more that are barely exposed that may be complete within the matrix. I think this piece could be excellent for prepping practice and with a little bit of work it could look really nice. PM me with any offers, trilobite material would be my preference but I'm not very picky. Here's a picture of the piece top down, more pictures are on the way.

Hi all, Many of us have had experience with shipping, let it be with fossil trades or with new purchases. Often, I see people in the US saying "will keep postage within the US", as otherwise the shipping costs will be too much. And I do see that sometimes incoming packages from the US cost about 22$ just for an envelope, or 34$ for a small parcel! For me, those are exhilarating prices. On the other hand, shipping from the Netherlands is very inexpensive. Sending (internationally) an envelope of: - up to 20 grams costs 2,66 euros - 20-50 grams is 4 euros - 50-200 grams is 7 euros I usually only send mall fossils, so very rarely parcels, but even with parcels the prices are much lower than in other countries. (Those prices are without Track & code, and without signing) Anyways, I was wondering, what are your shipping costs (for international)? I can make a graph if you want showing all my shipping costs, if people are more interested. Regards, Max
