I want to start out with I apologize for not alot of info as far as host rock etc...I am new to this. I found this rock in a large pile of rocks in what used to be part of the original creek bed I was told by my son. I tried uploading more pictures closer up however I could only upload one. So I chose to show the entire rock. Down below where I was at the bottom of a small cliff is where the creek is now. In the past this area has been dredged by others looking for gold. So the rocks I am going thru were moved from the creek bed further up onto the bank as they searched. I also found what are possibly ancient stone tools of some sort in this area, along with multiple agates, what looks like smokey quarts, wood pieces that appear petrified and alot of quartz.

This is a rock that was dug out of a slide area at a friends place in Western Montana West of Missoula. He has some spots in the hillside that have warm vents and are snow free all year long. This was dug out while road building so I don't know if it's associated with that. It has been sitting out in the weather for over a year now and does not rust and is not magnetic. Also it is a very thin vein so what you see is all there is. Quite unusual so any help would be appreciated. Thanks
