Cambrian Stromatolite, looks just like the pics of Sharks Bay

Nice one, it does look like a whole Shark Bay stromatolite!

I was up in the Kootenays (B.C. Rocky Mtns) collecting Precambrian ones, but there were none that were anywhere near complete, just chunks.

I thought about it, but we're going to mount this head as is.  There are lots of bits and pieces in my area so we'll probably start learning to cut on those.

I'm glad you're going to keep this one intact! Best to slice lesser pieces if you've got them. I want to slice a piece or two of my Kootenay specimens but it's hard to decide which, though they are all incomplete chunks. I'll make a decision and cut one or two once I get my saw working again.
