New Caledonia Megalodon tooth

Picked this up a little while ago.  It isn't the prettiest tooth, but the manner in which new caledonia teeth are found has always intrigued me.

The coloration of the tooth is appealing!

Well the root isn't the best, but the color on the enamal is awesome!

I wonder of a vinegar soak wouldn't get rid of that white growth.

I'm not sure, part of what drew me to the tooth is it's fairly natural state.  Most NC teeth I have encountered have been heavily cleaned or polished.

From what i read. they are dragged from deep bottom sea
