Fezouata Hyolithid?

I am hoping someone on the forum might be familiar with Ordovician aged fossils from Fezouata.

I believe this might be a large hyolithid but am not sure.

I would say so. 

What's the scale? 

And did you get that as a bonus with a brachiopod? :P

(if that's a brachiopod at the top of the rock, I can't quite see....)

I just purchased a group of Fezouata fossils and this was included.

i do not have it yet but judging from the hand in the picture, I would estimate4-6 centimeters.

i was interpreting the round structure to be the oberculum of the animal.

I think you're right. 

Peeking at it more closely I'm fairly certain that's a hyolithid operculum.

Nice to get both the Operculum and the main shell together. All you need are the spines and it would be complete!
