Liparoceras Posted November 28, 2019 Share Posted November 28, 2019 These were in one of those sets of mixed fossils you can get. Must've first got them over 10 years ago. Anyway, since most of them were from Morocco I assume this echinoid is too, as it has a similar looking matrix to the others. All the label says is it's an Echinoid from the Cretaceous, but as some of the other labels in the set were clearly wrong it could be from another period. Its one of the last fossils from this set I've been unable to identify, so I'm hoping one of you guys has one or knows the genus and where it is indeed from. Can you show us the others just to see if they can all be from the same period Sorry that was a mistake, there's only one urchin, but lots of other types of fossils like ammonites, shark teeth, mosasaur teeth, bivalves and gastropods. But all of these other fossils are from various places and ages in Morocco, hence why I believe this one is also from Morocco. Mecaster seems like the closest match though, thanks!
