A shell I found at Lake Texoma (Texas/Oklahoma border). Please help!

Also how do I make images smaller? Like physically, not file size.

Some pictures from other sides might change my mind, but to me it looks like it could be a piece of an Ammonite like Oxytropidoceras.

If the ribbed pattern wraps around the bottom of the photo and continues on the backside then it probably is a cephalopod like Idiohamites.

It also could be part of a pectinoid such as Neithea.

My goal is to leave no stone or fossil unturned.

what Rockwood said. If you took the pic from your phone, when you look in the gallery for it -(depending on your phone of course) you should see a little pencil icon at the top. That will allow you to do some editing features, like cropping to make the image better.

I have hunted Texoma quite a bit over the last few years, and I believe my peers here are correct - it appears to be a heteromorph ammonite fragment.

I think @ClearLake is correct.

Thought I would help you out.

The intent might be good, but if the file has been reduced for posting the result won't be the same

?

Picture has been cropped so image would be a bit larger and closer.

I agree this seems to be correct, as there are many reports of ammonites found there.
