Rockwood
Heliolitid coral is what comes to mind. The evidence for it is rather weak though.
Tidgy's Dad
Yes, it would appear to be a very worn coral. Life's Good! Tortoise Friend.

TqB
I can't see any clear coral structure. What size is it, and does anybody know the likely geology? A sponge is a possibility - it looks rather like Ventriculites for example (not saying it is though!). Here's a bit (of the specimen) blown up: Tarquin
fifbrindacier
I would say sponge too. "On ne voit bien que par le coeur, l'essentiel est invisible pour les yeux." (Antoine de Saint-Exupéry) "We only well see with the heart, the essential is invisible for the eyes." In memory of Doren
HansTheLoser
Looks more spongy. Not a coral. Age is Late Cretaceous I guess?
