Tooth? Or just a rock...

There is no enamel, and no bone texture to what would be the root in a real tooth.

This leads us to the conclusion it is a suggestively shaped rock.

Hello, Teddifer and welcome to TFF from Austin, Tx.  I'm not sure that we have many members from Costa Rica on the forum, so that makes you a unique resource.  You've come to exactly the right place to bring such questions as above and seek IDs.  I agree with the above comments that this seems to be a suggestively shaped rock as opposed to a fossil.  However, although I know virtually nothing of the Costa Rica coast, I can't help but believe that there are fossils to be found there.  Continue to search and bring us your questions.  We welcome and thrive on such offerings to the forum. :SlapHands:

And, after all, you lie on the continental coastline just off the island where Jurassic Park was founded.  So you just might find some non-fossil Dino material washing up on the shore.:D

And that's all I know about that!<_<
