sorry no dino tooth just a rock in the shape of a tooth.  teeth typically have an enamel covering.

Hello and welcome to the forum!  Unfortunately, you don’t have a dinosaur tooth, as Troodon said, a suggestively shaped rock. 
 

I see that you have a tag and profile location of Ohio. You will not find dinosaur fossils in Ohio. Dinosaurs likely roamed the land that is now Ohio, but due to erosion, any evidence of dinosaurs are long gone. 
 

However, don’t be discouraged! There are many other wonderful fossils to be found there! You can find a plethora of fossilized undersea life that is many millions of years OLDER than the dinosaurs! Plant life from the Carboniferous period can be found as well as evidence of fauna from the last major Ice Age.
 

Dinosaurs are great, but they tend to get all the press.

If this was found in Ohio, there is very little chance of finding any dinosaur fossils there.

I agree that is is quartz, chert, or dolostone nodule or cobble.

 

The underlying and outcropping rock formations all date back to the Paleozoic, rather than the Mesozoic. 

You are more likely to find shells, crinoids and trilobites than any dinosaur material
