altnacraig
Just found these pebbles on the beach on the Isle of Man and am wondering whether they are a form of coral. I know very little about fossils so please forgive my ignorance! The photos shows them alongside a pound coin. Thanks very much.
TqB
The first and third are corals - 1st is a solitary rugose ("horn coral"), 3rd is Siphonodendron junceum which is a colonial, branching rugose. The second is mostly crinoid stems. All are from the Carboniferous period. 4 Tarquin
Mark Kmiecik
+1 -- TqB nailed it. Mark. Fossil hunting is easy -- they don't run away when you shoot at them!
