NSR Fossil ID

My sister found this time we went out. She has only sent the one pic but figured it might be able to be ID'd. Found NSR in the same area as a vert, baculite pieces and a lot of oysters. Piece is about 2 inches long. Thanks in advance for any help.

Well I got nothin!  Hopefully you can get a better answer soon. I almost want to say shell, but its so straight and thick.

 

@JarrodB @facehugger You guys seen anything like this in your travels?

Probably a calcite slickenside that forms in the joints and faults.

 

They are usually layered in the horizontal direction and are semi normal to the direction of striations and polish caused by rocks grinding together.

DPS Ammonite nailed it. Certain areas of the river and some of the creeks have large amounts of that material.
