Buffalo femur?

  Has this bone been around long enough to be a fossil?  Found Nemaha River valley.  Who's hand was this in so long ago?

Try the burn test. Apply a flame to a small section of the bone. If it gives off a smell like burning hair, then there is still collagen present which would mean the bone is modern.

I don’t think gnawing marks from a rodent can be ruled out?  Just wanted to throw out the possibility. I defiantly defer to the experts.

Looks like rodent gnaw marks to me.
