NIKUNIKU
Hello. This is an ammonite from Madagascar. I don't know the scientific name of this. Are both the same type? Please tell me the scientific name of this. Edited December 31, 2019 by NIKUNIKU Miss
FranzBernhard
From what I have learned on TFF, both of your specimens belong to the genus Perisphinctes. Please have a look at this thread: Ammonites Madagascar The upper one of your specimens has a somewhat ground and polished shell, aperture is ok (natural break). The lower one seems to have an ok-shell, but the aperture seems to be cut off. This is usual case for Madagascan fossils, they have to be altered in some way to be exported.
