Crinoid Holdfast Prep Sharing

Happy New Year all!!!  I just want to share some photos of an Eucalyptocrinus Crinoid Holdfast plate I prepped six years ago.  It's from the Waldron Shale Formation, Shelby County, Indiana.  It's from the Silurian period, 424 million years ago.

Wow!

One of the nicer holidays I've seen.

Well done!

Thanks guys, I appreciate your comments.  If the specimen were (just a little) more complete after prepping, it would be the favorite in my group of crinoid holdfasts. I knew it wasn't all there prior to prepping but I just couldn't help myself.  I love the 3D effect and the contrasting colors.

You have a group of crinoid holdfasts?! :default_faint:. I’d love to have one as good as this.

Roger, It's 10.1 cm x 9.0 cm, my largest - not longest.
