Andy B Posted January 3, 2020 Share Posted January 3, 2020 I'm a complete amateur but since nobody has posted. It looks like it is a deceiving tooth. It seems to be cleaved through the center of the root and down through the blade, leaving only a damaged half of a tooth (or less). Maybe a flat view would help identify the shape better. Like the bottom left picture if you rotated the clay backward 90 degrees so you are looking down on what might be the face of the tooth. Just an idea though. Most likely a sand tiger, Carcharias sp. if it is from an Oligocene, Miocene or Pliocene location.
