Anyone know what this is?

Found this in a creek near Boligee, Alabama that I frequently find shark teeth, worm tubes, and an  occasional arrowhead.  Wondering if it’s anything other than an interesting rock.

Welcome to TFF Pearl,  It is a great place for fossil hunters.  Lots of kindred spirits

 

It is likely a worn turtle shell section.  Please show the other side.

Thanks for your responses. Glad to have a place to go for identification.  We a have a creek on our property that a couple of local Universities have come to study for years but I just started to “study” for myself.  So much fun!
