As usual, there was food, laughter and lots of new faces! It was the biggest meet-up I've ever had at my place, with 30 people in my house that day. It is also the last meet-up at my house as I will have new responsibilities (marriage, new house etc) soon so I won't be able to host any other gatherings for a long time. First up, a quick look at my room: Thankfully, my brother was willing to let me temporarily display some fossils in his room: 17 Looking forward to meeting my fellow Singaporean collectors! Do PM me if you are a Singaporean, or an overseas fossil-collector coming here for a holiday!
-Andy-
Main display cabinet in the living room: The newest display corner. My favorite stuff here are the Singapore fossils: Here are some old toys mostly from the Jurassic Park series. The oldest toy here was bought in 1993. They belonged to me as a kid. The 4 books there are authored by me: 17 Looking forward to meeting my fellow Singaporean collectors! Do PM me if you are a Singaporean, or an overseas fossil-collector coming here for a holiday! -Andy-
This is the "changing corner". I only set this table up during the gatherings and as some of you might notice, the fossils here change every year: Some of the awesome folks who attended the gathering: One of the members here, who was trained as a geologist, broke up some fossil-rich rocks he found in Singapore: Lo and behold! Singapore fossils! 20 Looking forward to meeting my fellow Singaporean collectors! Do PM me if you are a Singaporean, or an overseas fossil-collector coming here for a holiday! -Andy-
And of course, what kind of gathering would it be without some good ol' trading? And of course, pizza! That's me in the violet shirt on the right. Meanwhile, the kids are playing games on the TV. Even their attention span for dinosaurs isn't on par with the adults: All the faces who came to the gathering: All in all, we had a wonderful time this year. There were so many new faces, there were trades, there was pizza, laughter, and plenty of fossil-related chit chat! If any of you pass by Singapore, don't hesitate to ring us up! Next year will be in someone else's house but I'm sure it will be even better! 18 Looking forward to meeting my fellow Singaporean collectors! snolly50
Once again, I very much enjoyed a glimpse at the event and mostly at your diverse array of high quality fossils. Thanks, and congratulations on your marriage and new home. 1 Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, also are remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so. - Douglas Adams, Last Chance to See
