Oxytropidoceras
Scientists use ancient marine fossils to unravel longstanding climate puzzle by Cardiff University https://phys.org/news/2020-01-scientists-ancient-marine-fossils-unravel.html Ancient marine fossils reveal how rising sea levels trapped carbon in the oceans preventing extinction-level global warming 14 million years ago. Fossil records suggest high levels of carbon was captured in ocean sediment. Significant volcanic activity had previously led to extinction level events.
