sharkdoctor
I though maybe the invert folks would get a kick out of these two limestone slabs. I picked them up several years ago when driving home from Kentucky along the AA highway. I cleaned them up a bit, but with the soda rig that @Gizmo loaned me. I don't really know what the critters are, but they look neat.
Tidgy's Dad
The top piece is dominated by different bryozoan species and large strophomenid brachiopods with a few orthids and stem segments of what could well be Cincinnaticrinus. The second piece has more bryozoans but an orthid dominated fauna. The bryozoan with 'lumps' on is Parvohallopora ramosa (if they're sharp edged monticules) or subnodosa (if they're rounded). Upper Ordovician and very nice, thanks for sharing. 7 Life's Good! Tortoise Friend.

FossilNerd
Man I need to get up to the AA and hunt! There is some good stuff up that way. Awesome plates! I love the first one that’s filled with branching bryozoan pieces. Most of the bryozoan I find down here are encrusting or fenestrate. Great finds and thanks for sharing. 3 The good thing about science is that it's true whether or not you believe in it. -Neil deGrasse Tyson Everyone you will ever meet knows something you don't. -Bill Nye (The Science Guy)
