I found a petrified mushroom and would like to find the value of it.

Can anyone here give me that information?

I also have a huge chunk of pink/purple coral and would like to know the value of it. I have a pic for the mushroom but will have to take pic's for the coral

Hello, and a very warm welcome to TFF from Morocco. :)

Mushroom fruiting bodies are extremely rare as fossils.

The picture above seems to show a scleractinian coral.

Welcome to the Forum. :)

We do not make valuations, as it is something that really cannot be done by looking at photos, online.

Unfortunately, your mushroom is not actually a mushroom. It looks like some sort of coral, to me.

I can see why you would think it was a mushroom. But, as a matter of fact, there are corals called "Mushroom Corals".

The link leads to a google search for mushroom corals. Some look quite similar to yours.  :)

It appears to be the underside of a coral in the family Fungiidae, commonly known as mushroom corals. They are quite common to find in gift shops.

The coral in your photo is not a fossil. It died recently.

Mark.

Fossil hunting is easy -- they don't run away when you shoot at them!

Thank you for the replies and your knowledge of these specimens. I guess selling it and the huge pink coral will not be bringing me any profits.

The huge pink coral? Where? In order to find the value of an item it must first have some.
