Katevans
Please tell me if you think this may be a fossils tooth of a sea creature? It was found at Walton in the Naze UK
Paleoworld-101
Hi, Walton-on-the-Naze is an Eocene-aged site with fossils from the London Clay, so there won't be any dinosaurs found here as the sediments are too young. Instead you can find shark teeth though. How big is this piece? Superficially it has the shape of a highly eroded shark tooth but i do not think it is one. Could we have additional pictures of the other side and a side view? I think it is more likely to be a piece of pyritised wood, if it's even a fossil at all. 2 "In Africa, one can't help becoming caught up in the spine-chilling excitement of the hunt. Perhaps, it has something to do with a memory of a time gone by, when we were the prey, and our nights were filled with darkness..." -Eternal Enemies: Lions And Hyenas
