OcarinaMC
Hi, I found this on Penrhyn Bay beach in North Wales UK. Does anyone have an idea what it might be? More photos here Edited January 14, 2020 by OcarinaMC Added link to photos
Tidgy's Dad
Looks like a solitary rugose 'horn' coral to me. Probably Lower Carboniferous in age from that region. Hello, and a very warm welcome to TFF from Morocco. I'm half Welsh and spent many a happy day studying the geology of Snowdonia. Holidays with family in Llandudno and Penrhyn Bay too.

OcarinaMC
Thanks very much for your help and information. I did come across rugose corals while I was googling, but they all seemed to have obvious 'spokes' at the top going towards the centre, so I thought this could possibly be something different. 23 hours ago, Tidgy's Dad said: Looks like a solitary rugose 'horn' coral to me.
