iliafes
Is it sea turtle carapace?
caldigger
Definately not turtle. It looks to be a vein of mineral. Pretty much identical to the veins of Gypsum we find at my dig area in California.
Mark Kmiecik
Turtle carapace is bone. There is no bone structure evident in your specimen that I can see from that angle. It couldn't hurt to see the other side, but so far all I see is mineral. Mark. Fossil hunting is easy -- they don't run away when you shoot at them!
