Weird little tooth from the Chesapeake Bay MD

Recommended Posts

I found this in the Chesapeake Bay a week ago. At first I thought it was a badly damaged shark's tooth. But after looking at it a while I'm not quite sure I think that any more. I was hoping to let the pros on the site take a look..

Thanks for any info!

I think it is a very worn Tiger shark.

I like Trilo-butts and I cannot lie.

I'm thinking perhaps Galeocerdo posterior. If you rotate the first photo 45° to the left and the second 45° to the right you might see what I mean.

Thanks! I was thinking Tiger, but I thought it strange the enamel didn't wear off but the root was completely worn down..
