I'me loving these photos, but I am noticing a distinct bias towards vertebrates. Where are all the Brahiopods????? :P :chuckle:

Another successful day at the show.

Collectors/Dealers line up outside one dealers room that is opening up.  First in gets the prize.

Good thing I can't go to this show because I would blow my budget on those awesome Kem Kem pieces:default_faint:. Thanks for showing.

Replica Torosaurus skull being shipped to the 22nd Street show.  Mike Triebold and his group should have lots of cool items on display

This is a cast of the Tate Museum's 'Nicole'.  Triebold's team did a great job putting together for us.

Did not know that, nice.  I'll of course stop by Mike's booth and take some pictures and pass them on.   It does look great..

They filled in the missing parts for their cast.  Ours on display is primarily only real bone plus a few essential fill-ins, like lower jaws.

Have you had the opportunity to see the completed cast in person?

That sure is a heckin' chonker! Very nice! Especially that posterior end of the centrum looks really large. I assume you already looked for the rugose plateau? Looks like maybe mid cervical. Nr. 6 or 7 seems a good match.

Also that looks like a really big Azhdarchid posterior cervical on the right there. Maybe the second to last cervical?

Thanks its big and heavy, will get it home later this week.   Well the dealer had it labeled has Sigilmassasaurus since they provided the holotype material and it looked the same but I showed him that it lacked the plateau... he learned something :D

Yes I think that is a Azhdarchid cervical

Do these dealers have websites outside of the show or is it strictly just for the fossil show?

Some are collectors but not all of the dealers have websites.  A few are setup at the show but most are buying inventory. Some of the best dealers I deal with at the show do not have websites.  Lots of dealers coming to the show are not set up, they are just buy for their inventory.

Hi Troodon,

I recognize at least three of those guys.  Did anyone try to pose as hotel housekeeping?

Jess

They were not qualified for that.  All though wanted to help Mark H. move his shark teeth into his room .. dozens of boxes as he zoomed by several times.

Seeing these pics made my day, thank you. I really hope to make it out there next year. Also glad to see you struck gold so early on. Looking forward to seeing more.

From the Permian of Texas a new large rare amphibian called “Archeria” on display at the Days Inn venue. The skeleton is almost 9 feet long.

On a side note some news, the person displaying these specimens indicated that they have found a skeleton of Kritosaurus from the Aguja FM.  The Skull has diagnostic features to that genus.   The specimen will be described over the next year or two and will be the second hadrosaur from that fauna.
