Hi there!

Not sure if this is anything at all?

Beach-find mysteries are the best.

Thanks!

I would say bivalve shells in hardened matrix like your other post. This one just seems to be a layer of matric versus a top view. But I am an rank amateur!! Typically, pieces of matrix fall out of a wall at some point and the waves round them or break them up completely after a while.

Thirded.

Almost certainly bivalve bits.

Caldigger, if you want to follow Adam’s illogical logic, you need to say quartered since thirded means having been cut into three parts.

My goal is to leave no stone or fossil unturned.

Thirded is the simple past tense and past participle of third., old chap.

And even if that's still dodgy ground, I think we were playing. :)

Not sure I've ever heard of any marine vertebrate fossils from up there! Keep your eyes peeled for bone.
