ruoyang
hi guys, here are the two bones I found from the big brook, NJ yesterday. There were found in the mud of the river bank (I did not dig but the mud was exposed for unkown reason). I know there are a lot of mordern bones in this river area. They look like fossilized bone due to the iron. can anyone help to indentify if they are fossilized bones or morden bones? thanks!

Rockwood
The larger one looks like a humerus. I think they are all likely from a small modern deer.
The Jersey Devil
I agree with modern deer. “You must take your opponent into a deep dark forest where 2+2=5, and the path leading out is only wide enough for one.” ― Mikhail Tal
