Ruger9a
Hello folks. I am considering a purchase and would like to know it this fossil is as described. It listed as Remopleurides species trilobite? It's from Jingxi, China.
Tidgy's Dad
It doesn't look like Remopleurides to me. Nice little piece though. @piranhaScott? 1 Life's Good! Tortoise Friend.

FossilDAWG
Definitely not a Remopleurides. Maybe a Redlichia? Don

That's what I was thinking also. I have a few Redlichia trilobites (two species) and the configurations resemble this item very, very closely. Just wanted to make sure my eyes weren't playing tricks on me - again. I sometimes wonder if the miss-identification is intentional in order to sell a more common item. MarcusFossils
This trilobite is informally called Decurtatus conicus, but I believe was recently described as 'Haniwa sp' 1 Website: https://www.instagram.com/paleo_archives/ --------------------------------------------------------------------------- “It is by no means an irrational fancy that, in a future existence, we shall look upon what we think our present existence, as a dream.” ― Edgar Allan Poe

Ruger9a
Thank MarcusFossils! You are the 4th confirmation that the species was incorrectly identified, so it's off my consideration list. Thanks again all.
MarcusFossils
I would necessarily blame the seller for the wrong ID. I'm sure it wasn't malicious. This is nevertheless a fairly rare trilobite!
