The rock may represent the crushed remains of some sort of shells, but I don't see any recognizable fossil here.

I agree with you . nothing specific for fossil . thanks for reply .

i dont think brains have been preserved just endocasts  and also this is not symmetrical and it doesnt have the typical wavy structure you wold see in a modern brain so im afraid its not

you are right . I don't believe that was a sarcasm . I think he is  talking seriously . because he is a serious man and that's why I believe him .

The probability of it being a fossil dinosaur brain is two notches lower than that of winning the lottery.

Represented graphically. ;)

Hello fossil of Egypt,

I could imagine your google search turned up pictures of the fossil that is described in this article among others:

https://www.nationalgeographic.com/news/2016/10/dinosaur-fossil-brain-tissue-paleontology-animals-science/

It resembles your find a little bit in colour.

But the important thing is that it has been identified by its shape as an endocast and under closer look showed structures that may be remnants of the meninges, which are protective skins enclosing the brain, quite astonishing in a fossil, but not the brain itself.

The specimen you found has neither the shape of a brain nor any structure that would hint at tissue, so I am sorry to say that there is no reason at all to believe it has anything to do with a dinosaur brain, as much as one may wish it would.

Even the people who found the fossil in the article wouldn´t believe it before they tested and tested again, and there is still debate about how much is really preserved as far as I understand.

It is another case for the Sagan standard so often and well quoted here:

extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

Best Regards

J

It think it should be even farther fetched and say it is far less likely to find a fossil brain than it would be to be struck by lightening while winning the lottery. ;)

actually there is a strong evidence that it could be fossilized dinosaur brain .
I found the characteristic prenocephale dinosaur skull cap in the same place two days before I found that stone . that was good reason for me to search google for fossilized dinosaur brain .
I found that the color and texture may denote fossilized dinosaur brain .

sure i will picture the prenocephale dinosaur skull cap now .

I stick to me idea it could be a sponge. They often look-like brains.

Hello fossil of Egypt.

If there was a confirmed skullcap that would indeed be an indication to make the idea of an endocast somewhat more plausible, but it would still be no strong evidence in the brain-case though.

But to answer that question we need to see the evidence.

Without that, what we can see here is a pebble (or maybe a worn piece of fossil sponge)

Better yet show it to a palaeontologist who can take a closer look.

Best regards,

J
