snolly50
Just a footnote in the long, opprobrious history of Humankind's folly. 1 Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, also are remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so. - Douglas Adams, Last Chance to See

The Amateur Paleontologist
This is really saddening Opalised fossils are the best: a wonderful mix between paleontology and mineralogy! Q. Where do dinosaurs study? A. At Khaan Academy!... My ResearchGate profile
dinosaur man
very sad news. Also a lot of the animals in that area are endangered or near extinction do to people. But the Chinese paddlefish just happened to be one of those unlucky animals.
Huntonia
Very sad indeed! On a slightly more positive note, not sure if any of you guys knew but Giant Pandas are no longer considered 'endangered' as of recently and have been downgraded to 'vulnerable'. Kind of an interesting look at how life tends to be, one animal (or species or people) suffers while another thrives (I of course say thrive with some relativity). https://www.worldwildlife.org/stories/giant-panda-no-longer-endangered
