Found some really nice teeth on the Maryland side of the Potomac River. A lot of really nice sand tiger teeth, a nice Otodus, and two really pretty small croc teeth, and two partial croc teeth

I wish I could find that many in such a short time.  It takes me that long just to dig down and uncover the layer!

@caldigger The teeth in this area are very abundant in the river, especially if you are hunting at an area that has been untouched in recent times.

@Bjohn170 nice finds, especially the beautiful Otodus!

That is not an Otodus, as they do not have a nutrient groove. But still a nice tooth. Not sure about the actual species though.

Nice croc teeth. I’m not seeing any mackerel teeth. Hokieteck96 found a couple.

Do you know what it is then, from the species I know from that location I assumed it was an Otodus from the shape

The shape is similar to the Otodus and Thresher, but it is not. Sorry, I wouldn’t know what to classify it as. I currently have over a thousand teeth I haven’t classified yet because I don’t know how to distinguish a Goblin from a Sand Tiger.

After looking into it Palaeohypotodus Rutoti matches

It might be, I have a bunch that look like it, but I’m looking for the wrinkles at the base.
